Who made your invitation?
Jess Hild (@hild.design) made them.
But why is there a cat in the mountain?
It was inspired by a set of Milton Glaser (the I ♥️ NY designer) ads for NY Tourism from the mid-80's. You can see an example here.
When do I need to RSVP?
Please RSVP by March 15 so that we can make sure we have an accurate headcount.
How do I RSVP?
Click the link that says "RSVP" in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Or go here.
Do you really need to know where I'm staying?
There's very limited parking at the Inn and we really want to make sure everyone gets home safely at the end of the night. The Catskills aren't exactly an Uber hotspot, so we've arranged for busses to pick you up and take you home.
But I don't have anything booked yet.
That's ok, but we'd suggest you book something as soon as possible. North Branch and Roscoe are small towns, so things book up pretty quickly.
Can I stay at the Inn?
There are very limited rooms at the Inn. You can check availability here.
Where else can we stay?
Check out our Places to Stay map and listing for suggestions. You're also free to book another location or an Airbnb, VRBO, or similar accommodations. We'd just suggest that you keep it close to the route shown on the Places to Stay page so that the shuttle can pick you up. We also made a map of Airbnb's that are close to our suggested routes.
What's the timeline of events?
Check out Our Wedding Plan for a full run of show.
What should I do on Saturday before the wedding?
Check out our Places to Eat and Things to Do page for ideas. There are also a bunch of hikes in the area if you want to check them out on AllTrails
What's the address of the Inn?
869 North Branch Road, North Branch, NY 12766
The wedding will be across the road behind the old Post Office and Library buildings and we will have signs out to let you know where to go.
Is there parking at the Inn?
There is very limited parking at the Inn (and we want you to have fun and be safe), so we've booked shuttle busses to pick you up and then take you home. We will be working out pickup times with the charter company closer to the date of the wedding and will run rotating shuttles to take you back when you're ready.
Is the wedding outdoors?
Yes, the wedding and reception will be outdoors on the grass. We'd recommend ladies wear flats or wedges.
What's the weather going to be like?
Hopefully, it will be sunny and warm. That said, the highs could be anywhere from the mid-60's to the mid-80's with lows as low as the high-40's.
What should I wear?
Summer cocktail attire. Just make sure it's comfortable for dancing.
Will there be dancing?
If you've been at a wedding with us, you know there will be lots of dancing so make sure you wear comfy shoes.
Will there be an open bar?
Yes. There will be an open bar at the reception. The afterparty is a cash bar.
Will there be food at the afterparty?
Yes.
What's your home address?
To come swimming on Sunday, you'll go to 5289 County Road 7, Roscoe, NY 12776 (If you're trying to mail us something, please send it to 107 President Street Apt. 1, Brooklyn, NY 11231)
Do I have to swim?
No. You're free to come over and hang out. We promise we won't force you to swim.
Can kids swim?
Yes, but please make sure you have a lifejacket or floaties for younger kids.
Is the pond clean?
Yes. The pond is fed by a series of springs and small streams that keep clear water flowing constantly.
Are there any critters to worry about?
Nothing to worry about. There are a few fish (who won't bother you) and a bunch of salamanders that like to float around.
Who can come to the Sunday Swim?
Everyone is welcome to come! If they're in the area, they're free to come swimming! Just make sure kids have a lifejacket.
Do we need to bring anything?
We have lots of towels, but it would be helpful to bring one if you plan to swim. We also have some chairs, but probably not enough for everyone, so if you can bring a camp chair or two, that would be awesome. In either case (towels or chairs), no worries if it's not possible.
Will there be food?
We will have basic grillable snacks and pre-made sides.
Do you have floats, boats, and the like?
We have a bunch of tubes, a couple kayaks, and some pool noodles.
I'm flying in from out of town and was hoping to catch a ride or split a ride with someone. Is there any way for me to connect with other people?
Sure. We set up this Google Group for that express purpose!
Is there any way to get to your wedding using public transit?
Sorry, but no matter what, you're going to have to do some driving or get picked up by a friend.
Is there cell service in the area?
It's spotty at best. If you're looking up directions, make sure you do it when you're in town since you probably won't have service when you realize you're lost.
How can I get closer coming from the city?
If you're coming from the city, there's a Coach bus from the Port Authority to Monticello, which about 40 minutes from Roscoe & North Branch and is just off Route 17. You'll have to get a ride from there, since there aren't any car rental agencies in the area.
You can also take New Jersey Transit from New York Penn Station to Middletown (about an hour from Roscoe & North Branch, just off Route 17) with a transfer in Secaucus. Just make sure you take the train to Middletown, NY, not Middletown, NJ. From there you can take a cab to one of the rental car spots in Middletown or have a friend pick you up on their way.
What airports are nearby?
Stewart (SWF) in Newburgh is about 80 minutes from Roscoe and has service from Florida, South Carolina, and Iceland
Binghamton (BGM) is about 80 minutes from Roscoe and has Delta service from Orlando and Detroit
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AVP) is about 2 hours from Roscoe and has service from Charlotte (on American) and Chicago O'Hare (on United or American)
Westchester (HPN) is about 2 hours from Roscoe and has service from Florida, Chicago, DC, Atlanta, and Charlotte
Albany (ALB) is about 2 hours from Roscoe and has a lot of service
Are there any other airports?
JFK, LaGuardia, and Lehigh Valley are all just under 3 hours away from us and have a lot of service.
If you have your own plane, there are local airports that you can fly into and you're going to know way more about making those arrangements than we do. Same goes for if you're a fancy person and want to book a private plane or helicopter. (Which is possible and would be super cool, but seems unnecessary)
What's your home address?
If you're entering it into GPS to come visit us in Roscoe, it's 5289 County Road 7, Roscoe, NY 12776
If you're trying to mail us something, please send it to 107 President Street Apt. 1, Brooklyn, NY 11231
I have another question, who can I ask?
